5th annual Nocturne night art festival kicks off

Nocturne: Art at Night 2012is kicking off its fifth year,taking place at points all around the city Saturday night.

The arts festival invites people to a wide variety of venues to take in everything from paintings andsculpture, to interpretive dance.

People out and aboutSaturday eveningcan make their way around on foot, by bike or by using the free bus service set up for the evening.

As for the DartmouthHalifax ferry,that will become a performance venue as well.

Organizers saypeople can enjoy free entertainment by local performers whilecrossing the harbour, all for the price of a regular transit ticket.

The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. and runs until midnight.
