Agency wants Halifax help on failed concert

The talent agency that represents Kid Rock says it wants some kind of remedy from the City of Halifax after the Kid Rock concert was cancelled last summer.

The talent agency that represents Kid Rock says it wants some kind of remedy from the City of Halifax after the Kid Rock concert was cancelled last summer.

One of the largest agencies in the world Creative Artists Agency said in light of thesecret payments the citymade to bail out the Black Eyed Peas concert, something should be done for the show that was allowed to fail last July.

The demand came in the form of a letter that was addressed to several city councillors on Friday, the latest twist in a scandal that already forced Halifax'schief administrative officerto resign and has many asking for Mayor Peter Kelly's resignation as well.

Jennifer Watts the councillor for District 14 was among those whoreceived the letter.

"When I found out about the letter I said 'this is going straight to legal and they need to look at it and they need to advice on its status,'" Watts told CBC News on Sunday.

"Things continue to unfold and it's unfortunate but in some ways lets get it all on the table now and clearly understand what has happened around this process so that there are no more surprises."

Watts,a long-time critic of mega concerts on Halifax's Common, said the city needs to re-examine the kinds of entertainment it wants to promote.
