Driver dies in collision along Highway 104

A driver has died after their van collided with a tractor-trailer on Highway 104 near French River on Wednesday afternoon, say Nova Scotia RCMP.

Police were called to the scene around 12:45 p.m.

They said the driver of the tractor-trailer was not seriously injured.

A traffic analyst was called to the scene.

Officers said people can expect detours and delays driving through there for the next couple of hours.

RCMP said the highway should reopen before nightfall.
