Hunter's moon to be revealed over most of Nova Scotia with clear skies

Broken cloud cover will be around Nova Scotia for the early evening, but it willclearaway towardmidnight.

If you're out under those clearing skies, take a quick scan around and you'll be able to see the hunter's moon,the second full moon occurring after the autumnal equinox.

The first full moon after the equinox is the harvest moon.

The oneexception to the mostly clear skies will be in Cape Breton.Partly cloudy conditions will persist overnight along with some isolated showers.The few showers may even mix withsome wet flakes in the Highlands, where temperatures will be cooler.

Speaking of temperatures, it will be a cold night province-wide with temperatures lows ranging from4 C to 1 C depending on where you are in the province.

Tuesday will have a chilly start, but with a high pressure system in place, it will also be sunny.Afternoon high temperatures will range from 6 C to 10 C.

The coolest area of the province will be in Cape Breton and the warmest will be in thecommunities on the southwestern Atlantic coastline like Lunenburg and Shelburne.

Winds will turn west, sustained near 20 km/h but with gusts of up to 40 km/h.

Temperatures will come up a few degrees mid-week andhighs of 9 C to 11 C arein the forecast.
