Macdonald Bridge Big Lift work finishes early for the weekend

The Macdonald bridge crossing Halifax Harbour opened more than a day earlyduring a scheduled weekend closure.

The bridge opened at 2 p.m. Saturday after the weekend's scheduled work wascompleted, as part ofthe Big Lift projectto replace sections of the structure's deck,Halifax Harbour Bridges said.

The bridge is typically closed for weekend work beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, reopening at 5:30 a.m. Monday.
