A 26-year-old North Kentville man has been charged with manslaughter in connection to the death of a two year-old boy earlier this month.

A 26-year-old North Kentville man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a two-year-old boy earlier this month.

Adam William States is charged in the death of Antonio Ryland Pinch.

States was arraigned on the charge in Kentville provincial court Thursday.

He was remanded into custody until May 31 when he will be back in court, RCMP spokeswoman Sgt. Brigdit Leger said Thursday.

Leger said that States was "known" to the child and his mother.

Kings District RCMP responded to the Valley Regional Hospital on May 8 because a child had been brought in as the result of a sudden death, Leger said.

The boy died at his home in North Kentville on May 8. Someone called 911 from the home on Oakdene Avenue, Leger said.
