Power outages mostly restored across Nova Scotia

After a weekend of power disruptions across the province, Nova Scotia Power found itself dealing with more outages on Monday.

Power outages fluctuated throughout the daybecause of stormy weather and incidents relating to those conditions.

For most of the day, thousands were without power. Most of the outages have since been restored.

Much of the province was hit with20 hoursof freezing rain Thursday evening into Friday, withwinds at times gusting up to 120 km/h per hour overnight Friday.

The power was out formore than 40,000 peopleat one point on Friday.
