Paramedic James Keats faces more sex assault charges

A Nova Scotia paramedic faces four more charges of sexual assault and breach of trust.

James Duncan Keats was arrested Thursday, RCMP said.

All charges stem from allegations of inappropriate conduct while Keats was working as a paramedic with Emergency Health Services.

Police allege these incidents occurred betweenDec.20, 2010, and April 21, 2013, and involve four womenranging from 24 to 64 years of age.

The accusations related to periods when patients were being transported in an EHS ambulance from Windsor, Fall River and Lower Sackville to hospital.

Keats currently has three prior charges of sexual assault and breach of trust before the courts.He has been remanded into custody and is appearing in Halifax Provincial Court Friday morning.
