3 CBC meteorologists answer questions about winter storm

Ryan Snoddon, Tina Simpkin and Jay Scotland, the three meteorologists for the Maritimes, have posted a video update on the forecast and are responding directly to people's questions on Facebook.

CBC's three meteorologists for the Maritimes have been taking questionsabout the stormon Facebook.

Ryan Snoddon, Tina Simpkin and Jay Scotland have been tracking the storm as it shifts from snow to ice pellets, freezing rain and rain in some areas.

A Facebook live was scheduled to begin at noon but was cancelleddue to technical challenges.

Instead, the meteorologists have posted a video update of the most recent forecast. People can ask questions in the comments area on the Facebook video postand themeteorologistswill respond directly there.

Environment Canada has issued weather warnings for all three Maritime provinces. There are wind, rainfall and winter storm warnings in effect in Nova Scotia andwind and winter storm warnings in P.E.I.

There are rainfall warnings in southern New Brunswick along the Fundy Coast and winter storm warnings in the rest of the province with 30 to 50 centimetres of snow expected.
