Shelburne County lobster traps, trailer worth $14K stolen

Thieves made off with 245 lobster crates in Port La Tour early Tuesday morning, according to Barrington RCMP.

Barrington RCMP investigating theft of 245 lobster crates in Port La Tour

Thieves in Shelburne County have stolen a trap trailer and 245 lobster crates in Port La Tour, according to police.

Barrington RCMP say the suspects stole a trailer from Surf Seafoods on Commercial Street at about 1:50 a.m. on Tuesday. They drove it over to Port La Tour Road where they loaded it with 245 lobster crates from Reynolds Trucking.

The companies lost an estimated $14,000 worth of gear.
