CBC/Radio-Canada Ottawa-Gatineau service interruptions

CBC is replacing its antenna system and making improvements to the transmission infrastructure to upgrade its facilities and provide listeners with improved signal and extended reach.

From Oct. 6 until Nov. 29, 2024,CBC will replace and upgrade its aging broadcasting infrastructure of CBC Radio One (CBOFM), CBC Music (CBOQ-FM), Ici Premire (CBOF-FM) and Ici Musique (CBOX-FM) at its transmission site.

The site is located at the top of Camp Fortune ski hill in Quebec and has undergone many renovations and updates since the '60s when CBC took it over. The existing master FM antenna that sits at over 700 feettall has been in service for 37 years and has now reached the end of its life. These repairs and upgrades are necessary to avoid future interruptions to service.

This work may affect listeners tuning in on the 91.5 FM, 103.3 FM, 90.7 FM and 102.5 FM frequencies with interruptions or loss of signal.

  • VisitCBC Listenor download the CBC Listen app to catch live radio or listen to on-demand audio programming.
  • Listen to live programming on CBC Lite, a low-bandwidth version of our website.
