Police release photo of Frederick John Hatch, hitchhiker who died near Erin, Ont.

Police have released a photo of 65-year-old Frederick John Hatch, whose body was found near Mississauga, Ont., earlier this month after he hitchhiked there from eastern Ontario.

Ontario Provincial Policehave released a photo of a hitchhiker found deadafter travelling from eastern Ontario to the Mississaugaarea earlier this month and whose death is being considereda homicide.

Frederick John Hatch, 65, of no fixed address, was found dead near Erin, Ont., on Dec. 17.

Police believeHatch had travelled from eastern Ontario the day before. His body was found at around 7 a.m.east of 10th Line off Wellington Road 124.

Hatch isdescribed as about fivefeetsix inches tall, with a heavier build and a grey moustache that curves downwards and grey shoulder-length hair. He was found wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans.

Wellington County OPP are urging anyone who may have seen or met Hatchis asked to call police toll-free at1-844-677-5010, orCrime Stoppers at1-800-222-8477.

Erin, Ont., is about 60 kilometres northwest of Mississauga.
