Last-minute challengers in Orleans West-Innes

In 2018, the race in Ward 2 Orleans West-Innes, which was called Innes then,featured four candidates. This time around three people are vying for victory.

2 candidates signed up in the last week to take on incumbent

Just a few days before nominations for this fall's municipal election closed last month, it looked like incumbent Laura Dudas might be acclaimed.

But last-minute challengersLori StinsonandChris Fraser registered to run inOrlans West-Innesin the days before the deadline.

Ward 2 is one of several that have been redrawn and renamed for the 2022 election. In 2018, Dudas beat out three opponents with 41 per cent of the votes cast in Innes, as it was called then.
