Ottawa was guaranteed a home playoff game this postseason after Saturday losses bythe Argonauts and theAlouettesprevented either team from being able to catch the Redblacks in the CFL's East Division standings.

The Redblacks could clinch their second straight East Division title with a win or tie against Hamilton at TD Place on Friday night, which would mean they would again host the division final with a berth in the Grey Cup on the line.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats can still catch Ottawa if:

  • Ottawa loses its last two games and Hamilton picks up two wins,
  • Ottawa loses to Hamiltonthis week, then the Redblacks lose their last game while Hamilton ties and the varioustiebreakers fall Hamilton's way.

Last season, Ottawa beat Hamilton in its last two games of the regular season then again in the division title before losing the Grey Cup to the Edmonton Eskimos.
