Quebec crash kills man after car carrying child crosses centre line

A 28-year-old man was killed after a crash along Highway 50 in western Quebec where police say a vehicle crossed the centre line, striking another head-on.

Provincial police in Quebec said the crash happened just after 6 p.m. on Sunday when a car crossed the centre line and struck another vehicle head-on.

Paramedics rushed the driver of the vehicle that was struck to hospital. He would succumb to his injuries later Sunday night.

Two adults and a child were in the car that crossed the centre line. They were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened. Charges have not been laid.
