Shots fired into Ottawa home becomes 41st shooting incident in 2015

Ottawa police are investigating the city's 41st report of shots fired in 2015 after two bullet holes were spotted at a home on Debra Avenue.

Ottawa police are investigating the city's 41st report of shots fired in 2015 after two bullet holes were spotted at a home on Debra Avenue.

Police responded to the 900 block of Debra Avenue, which is near the intersection of Meadowlands and Prince of Wales drives, at about 4:10 p.m. Monday for reports of shots fired at a home.

When officers arrived, they found two holes in the window and two bulletsinside the home. This is the same area where officers responded before 5 a.m. the same day for reports of gun shots.

Nobody was injured in the incident and there are no suspects, police said.

The police guns and gangs unit is investigating.Anyone with information aboutthis investigation is asked to call police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5050. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll free at 1-800-222-8477.

This is the 10th shooting incident in Ottawa within two weeks. The shootings have led to one death and four injuries.
