"'I became an Uber driver for the flexibility. I can do standup when I need to, and I can work at this whatever hours I decide."

Williams drives about fourhours a dayfor Uber, and typicallyearnsbetween$80 and$120 daily.

He says even aftergas and other expenses, that'swell above minimum wage.

No problem with regulations

Williams says he has no problemwith the new regulations proposed by the city on Thursday. He says aside from the10.5-centperfarefee the city wants to charge, little will change for him.

"Having a clean car less than 10 years old, inspected regularly, these are things we should be doing anyway."
