OC Transpo is investigating another incident involving one of its drivers after a video surfaced on YouTube showing the driver operating the bus while on the phone.

OC Transpo is investigating another incident involving one of its drivers after a video surfaced on YouTube showing the driver operating the bus while on the phone.

The video, which is shot by a passenger in a passing car, shows the driver on the phonewhile heading down Highway 417. It is not clear if the phone is a cellphone or one used for radio communications.

The driver is seen, though, using his left hand to hold the phone against his ear while holding the steering wheel with his right hand.

OC Transpo General Manager Alain Mercierreleased his second statement in as many dayson Tuesday, saying an investigation has begun into this latest video.

"Operators are trained and regularly reminded that it is illegal to use a mobile device while driving," Mercier wrote in the statement.

"Individuals who do not follow OC Transpo policies and provincial law face disciplinary measures, up to and including dismissal when warranted."

Coincidentally,Mercier admitted in March totaking a call on his phone while driving. He then sent an apologeticletter to the public transit service's staff and apologized to city council for his actions.

This news also comes just one day after Ottawa's bus company started looking into a video allegedlyshowing a driver cursing at a mildly autistic passenger.

The result of that investigation is expected later in the week.
