Cornwall man dies after rolling car on Highway 401

ACornwall, Ont., man is dead after rolling his car on Highway401 Monday afternoon.

Ontario Provincial Police saidEdmund Poirier, 61, was headingeaston the McConnell Avenue off-rampnear Cornwall at around 4:30 p.m. when he lost control of his car.

The vehicle rolled and came to a stop on the median, police said. Poirier was pronounced dead at thescene.

No other vehicles wereinvolved in the collision, police said.

The investigation continues.
