Yusuf Ibrahim homicide leads to $50,000 reward for new information

Ottawa police have issued a $50,000 reward for any new information that would help lead to an arrest and prosecution of a suspect in the February homicide of Yusuf Ibrahim.

Yusuf Ibrahim, 27, was shot dead in a south Ottawa home on Feb. 6.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for any new information that helps police arrest and prosecutesuspects in the killing of Yusuf Ibrahim, Ottawa's first homicide victim of 2015.

Ibrahim, 27, was killed inside a home on Forestglade Crescent on Feb. 6.

TheknownCripsgang member, who hadthe street name "Grinch," was also on bail when he was shot dead.

In March, police found a rented black Dodge Charger that was seen leaving the scene with three people inside, and spoke to the person who rented the vehicle.

They have not found the murder weapon, which investigators believe was tossed out of the car as it fled the scene. Officers were seen conducting a ground search for the gun in April.

Police have also said they're looking for three men who took cabs from the Forestglade Crescent home on Feb. 6.
