Royal visit 2016, Day 2: The Royal Family in Vancouver

William and Kate arrive in Vancouver.

Prince William and Kate were escorted to Harbour Air Terminal in Victoria Sunday to make their way to Vancouverfor the second day of their royal visit, and they landed in the city by float plane.When she arrived,Kate greeted well-wishers at Vancouver's JackPoolePlaza. However, those hoping to meet their children, PrinceGeorge and Princess Charlotte, were out of luck as the kids stayed in Victoria.

William and Kate each received a teddy bear from five-year-old Hailey Cain during a tour of Sheway, a centre that provides support for pregnant women and women with infants who face addiction issues. The royal couplealso visited the Immigrant Services Society of Vancouver, where they met a family from Syria, some of the31,000 refugees Canada has welcomed from the war-torn country.
