Alan Doyle, Matt Andersen to play Cavendish, P.E.I., July 2

It will bean all Canadian lineup in Cavendish, P.E.I., for aCanada Day concert on Saturday, July 2.

Alan Doyle andThe Beautiful Gypsies, Matt Andersen andThe Bona Fide and The Strumbellaswill play at the Cavendish Beach Events Centre.

"It's going to be a great weekend, starting onFriday,July1stwith Canada Day celebrations in NorthRusticothen transitioning onJuly 2ndto theCavendishBeach Events Centre with some of our favourite Canadian talent," said Jeff Squires, president of Whitecap Entertainment.

"The North Shore is the place to be to kick off summer."

Doyle, former lead singer of Great Big Sea, is now touring with his new bandThe Beautiful Gypsies.

Matt Anderson is a2013 Euro Blues Award for Best Solo /Acoustic Act, three Maple Blues Awards in 2012, and nabbed him 2010 International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

TheStrumbellashave wonthe Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Album Of The Year and CBC Music's Rising Star award.
