P.E.I.'s Economic Development and Tourism minister, Heath MacDonald, says the Brookvale provincial ski park had one of its busiest seasons ever, despite the mild winter. The season wrapped up on March 29th.

"We have a new snow making machine this year and the weather cooperated," said MacDonald."Obviously mother nature plays a major role in this. Last year was not a great year due to the storm days. So we were open actually I believe it was 58 days this season. I think we were up seven or eight days, somewhere in that range."

"At our ski school we had over 350 participants. It was one of the largest ski schools in eastern Canada."

MacDonald saidthe ski park was actually open on several days when other ski hills in the region were not.

MacDonaldsaidrevenues were up as well but the final numbers aren't complete.

Henoteda tender has just gone out for some renovations for the main lodge.
