Cavendish Farms donates $1M to Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Cavendish Farms has donated $1 million to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital's Endowment Fund.

Donations to the fund earn interest, which helps topayfor medical equipment each year.

Thedonationwill help fund equipment for the newly-expandedsurgical support services, including pre-surgery, day surgery and the post-anaesthesia care unit.

The donation came during a ceremony today where the unit was renamed Cavendish Farms Same Day Surgery.

Same Day Surgery treats about 7,000 patients each year who need operations for orthopedic, urology cancer, and ear, nose and throat issues.
