Chandler Architecture was the overall winner of this year's Christmas window decorating contest, put on annually by Downtown Charlottetown Inc.

Downtown Charlottetown Inc. has announced the winners of this year's Christmas Window Decorating Contest.

The overall winner wasChandler Architecture.

The Charlottetown Beer Garden won second place in the commercial category.

Perfect Pear Bridal and Lady Slipper's Intimate Apparel & Accessories snowman/Christmas-treehybrid won second place in the retail category.

Cool as a Moose won third place in the retail category.

Other winners included Moonsnail Soapworks (first place in the retail category) and Friends of the Confederation Centre of the Arts(third place in the commercial category).

Dawn Alan, executive director of Downtown Charlottetown Inc., said in a statement the contest is one of the organization'sfavourite programs.

"All of the participants put a great deal of time and effort into their displays and it really shows," she said.
