Harper will take part in a breakfast gathering at 7:30 a.m. at the APM centre in Cornwall. The visit is seen as a boost for Malpeque Conservative candidate Mary Crane.

"It is confirmed. The prime minister is going to be visiting the Malpeque riding on Monday morning as he starts off his cross-country tour for the pre-election day," Crane said.

"If people are interested to attend, they'll have to call our office in Cornwall to register the names. There is no fee or anything. It's just to register."

The Malpeque seat has been held by the Liberals since 1988. Incumbent Wayne Easter, who is also the agriculture critic, said it's obvious theTory leaderwants him gone.

"There is no question that Stephen Harper wants to target me personally, because I have stopped him in the Parliament of Canada on many of the things he has tried to do," Easter said.

"If there is one thing this prime minister doesn't like, he doesn't like people that stand up to him. He wants a caucus that will say, 'Yes, sir, whatever you want, sir.' That's what we've seen. There is only one voice in Ottawa in the Harper regime, and that is Stephen Harper's voice."

Easter said he doesn't think Harper's visit to his riding on the last day of the campaign will have a bearing on the final election results.
