The man faces a total of six drug-related and weapons charges, including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.

"The only unique thing about this raid is that it targeted not a street-level drug dealer, but someone who would be considered a middle man," McGuigan said.

"With the amount of drug and cash seized here we're thinking this will have a significant impact. It's going to disrupt the drug trade here because not only will it disrupt the street user, it will also impact the middle man."
