P.E.I. teen plays local banks to plug Cavendish Beach Music Festival show

If you pop into a P.E.I. bank this week, you may be treated to a surprise concert from P.E.I. singer-songwriter Julia Dunn.

If you pop into a P.E.I. bank this week, you may be treated to a surprise concert from P.E.I. singer-songwriter Julia Dunn.

The 16-year-old is performing at Cavendish Beach Music Festival this weekend at the RBC Emerging Artists Stage, and the bank performances are to promote that performance.

"It just all feels so natural, and I'm just enjoying it and as long as it keeps making me happy, I want to keep pursuing this," she told Mainstreet P.E.I.'s Karen Mair.

2nd year on Cavendish Beach stage

This won't be Dunn's first time on stage at the music festival. Last year, she won a contest that allowed her to take the stage with country music star Keith Urban.

"I feel like my life has changed pretty drastically just from getting more shows, to a little bit more of a following," she said of the performance.

She's still hoping to meet some of the big names at this year's festival.

"I'm so excited to see all of them, especially Dean Brody he's my favourite and Blake Shelton," she said. "If I could meet any of them, I'd be pretty happy."
