You used to go to the field and you were there all day and you didn't talk to anyone until you come home. Now you're connected to the world.- Morgan Smallman

His feed has photos and video's of work on J and J Farms where he works with his father and his uncle in Knutsford, P.E.I.

Recently, he posted an edited video with the caption, "What happens when a farmer gets bored and has an iPhone."

"I thought that I should put together something just to let the public know what we do," he said.

"Farming has changed a lot even in the last 20 years compared to what I remember doing with my father. Sometimes people like to see that kind of thing."

While Smallman wakes up early to start work and stays out "until you can't see anymore" he describes the atmosphere as "laid back."

"I've always wanted to be a farmer, and when you love what you do, it makes the job fun. I like to convey that to everybody," he said. "I love what I'm doing and I enjoy my job."

He's had people contact him from around the world asking him more about growing potatoes, and he says the interest goes both ways. He'll read tweets from farmers elsewhere.

"I see farmers in Ontario posting what they're up to right across the country and into the States I follow a few different people," he said.

"I'm a potato farmer. I don't understand a big acreage grain farm and it's nice to see what they do different and maybe it'll work for me."
