Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Prince County

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Prince County, warning residents that conditions are favourable for severe thunderstorms to develop.

"An intense cluster of thunderstorms is approaching the tip of Northwestern P.E.I.," said the statement. "These storms have the potential to produce heavy rain and hail."

People are advised to go inside during thunderstorms.
