Quebec team wins Canada International Tuna Cup

The Pink Lumberjacks of the Sea have claimed the prize in the 44th Canada International Tuna Cup out of North Lake, P.E.I.

The Pink Lumberjacks of the Sea have claimed the prize in the 44th Canada International Tuna Cup out of North Lake, P.E.I.

The team from Montreal hauled in five tuna which werecaughtand released. The five tuna averaged more than 2.4 metres long.

It was a first-time win for team captain Kurt Harris. The other members of the winning team were Francois Roberge, Romeo DiLiello-Roberge, Bruno Di Battista and Simon Sanscartier. They were aboard Harris' boat Frayed Not.

A total of 36 tuna were brought to boats during the weekend tournament, with the largest 3.1 metres long.

Fourteen teams, comprised of more than 75 participants, took part,including teams from Canada,Spain, Scotland, and several American states.
