QEH accessible parking patrons find special Christmas gifts from little girl

Some people at Charlottetown's Queen Elizabeth Hospital got a surprise gift on their windshield last week a baggie with $1.50, enough to cover parking fees, and a note from a 7-year-old girl.

Matt Doucette, site security supervisor at the QEH, says he noticed the baggies on the windshields of cars in the accessible parking spots.

He says some hospital staff saw the little girl, accompanied by two women, on Dec. 23.

Doucette says the gesture brought holiday cheer to many people.

"It's great to see anything like that this time of year, especially with such a small child, it definitely made some people's Christmas I would say. As small a token as it is, it's the thought that counts right?"

The identity of the three people is unknown, but Doucette says for anyone visiting a loved one at the hospital or seeking treatment the small gift would mean a lot.
