Brush fire ignites near Clavet, Sask.

A brush firebrokeout near the village ofClavet, Sask., on Sunday afternoon.

Several fire trucks from Saskatoon were on scene working to put out the flames.

Travis Weimer, a residentwholives abouttwo kilometres away from where the fire is happening, saidlocal farmers were working toprevent the fire from spreading by cultivating surrounding land.

That meantturning over the grass and bringing up dirt to the surface so the fire has trouble spreading.

The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed.

Clavet islocated 18 kilometreseast of Saskatoon.
