Craven country music festival gets new name, big headliners in 2017

Organizers of the long-running Craven Country Jamboree announced the festival would have three big headliners and a new name in 2017.

Blake Shelton, Toby Keith and Keith Urban will take the stage in Craven, Sask., in 2017. But it won't be under the banner of the Craven Country Jamboree.

The long-running Saskatchewan festival has changed its name after joining the Country Thunder festival tour.

Organizers announced the change at a news conference on Thursday afternoon, using an online video to share the news.

Country Thunder Saskatchewanwill run from July 13-16, 2017.
