Crews fight grass fire on north edge of Saskatoon

A grass fire in Saskatoon's north industrial area hadfirefighters from Warman jumping in to help local crews.

A grass fire in Saskatoon's north industrial area hadfirefighters from Warman having to jump in to help local crews.

The blaze began around 1:30 p.m. CST Mondayin the 300 block of 71st St.

As of 5:30 p.m., the fire department said no buildings hadcaught fire, but officials saidthe dry conditions and wind were working against them.

The Saskatoon fire department sent four engine companies, twobrush trucks and twowater tankers to the scene.
