Criminal activity ruled out in fatal Regina house fire

Police do not believe a deadly fire in Regina last week is a criminal case.

Regina police do not believe a deadly fire last week is a criminal case.

On Friday, Jan. 22, a 48-year-old man was killed in a duplex fire on the 300 block ofMarkwellDr.

Police say they've wrapped up their investigation andare no longer holding the scene.

Although arson has apparently been ruled out, there is still no word on the cause of the deadly fire.

The investigation is being carried out by the fire department.

It's been an extremely busy few weeks for firefighters in Regina.

On Wednesday, a family had to flee from a house fire on Garnet Street.

That blaze was the seventh structure fire in Regina in just over a week.
