The Regina Police Service (RPS) is offering up to $50,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of Daniel"Juma" Drie Atem, who is on the Canada's most wanted list maintained by the non-profit Be on the Lookout (BOLO) program.

Atem, 31, is wanted in connection with the killing of Roman Miller. Police say Miller was fatally shot outside of a business in the 2100 block of Broad Street in Regina on July 29, 2023.

The other suspect, 25-year-old Shedrek Samuel, turned himself in to authorities in February.

Atem was added to Canada's most wanted listearlier this year.

"We're not looking for witnesses or people to testify. This case is already going to trial, and we are asking and seeking the location of Daniel so he can be apprehended and face justice," said Regina police deputy chief Trent Stevely in a news conference Thursday morning at RPS headquarters.

Stevely said RPSsubmitted this case to BOLO,a national non-profit that uses social media and technology to help find suspects, after "exhausting most of the investigative avenues."

"We want to be non-disruptive. We want to be complementary. So the amplification campaign featuring Daniel Atem that we're launching today will be seen by millions of people," said Max Langlois, BOLO'sexecutive director.

BOLO is providing the $50,000 reward and a large billboard campaign across Saskatchewan and Alberta, where police say Atem has connections. Eight billboards have been installed across Regina.

"Regina Police Service has a message for Daniel. Sooner or later you will be apprehended. Do the right thing, call a lawyer and turn yourself in," Stevely said.

Atem is described as being six-foot-three and 140 pounds, with a dark complexion and thin build. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information that can lead to his arrest is asked to contact Regina Police or provide an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
