Treacherous sidewalk ice hidden under dusting of snow

Pedestrians might want to watch out for treacherous conditions on Saskatchewan sidewalks Monday morning.

It looks like a pedestrian took a slide here on an icy sidewalk in Regina early Monday morning. Ice-covered walks were everywhere after a mild weekend, but the hazardous spots were hard to see due to a dusting of snow. (CBC)

Workers on skid-steer vehicles were busy in Regina'sWascanaPark at 6 a.m. CST, but there were lots of slipperyspots in front of people's homes.

In Saskatoon, there's abylaw requiring residents to clear ice and snow from their sidewalks.
