Pokemon Go causing crashes, Regina police say

The super-popular phone game Pokemon Go is causing fender benders in Regina and the police want it to stop.

The super-popular phone game Pokemon Go is causing fender benders in Regina and the police are not pleased.

Regina police took to Twitter on Wednesday, sayingthey have responded to a number of vehicle collisions involving the recently-released Nintendo game.

"Had my first Pokemon Gocall for service," Const. CurtisWarnarsaid in atweet. "One player was complaining about another player in a truck."

Similar problems have been noted in other Canadian communities.

No details about the Regina crasheswere immediately available, but the tweets followan earlier plea from the police for people to be careful as they travel around the city collecting Pikachu and other Pokemon characters.
