Regina all candidates forum to focus on women's issues

What women's issues are important to you in Regina?

Violence, poverty, childcare and housing all up for discussion and debate

Homelessness, violence, childcare and poverty are powerful factorsthat weigh upon the lives of women, every day, in Regina.

With the date to elect a federal leader looming, the YWCA Regina thought now might be a good time to get together and talk about these issues.

Between 6 and 8:30 p.m. CST on Wednesday, October 7, the organization will host an all candidates forum, focused on women's issuesat St. Paul's Cathedral Hall.

Topics up for discussion include housing, women's economic security andmissing andmurderedindigenous women.

According to the YWCA Regina, candidates participating in the forum areApril Bourgeois from the NDP, Della Anaquod from the Liberals, Frances Simonson from the Green Party, and Wojciech Dolata from the Libertarian Party. No one from the Conservative Party was available.
