Regina man, 25, survives morning machete attack

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital in Regina Sunday morning, after surviving an apparent machete attack. Police were called to the 2100 block of Athol Street in the city's Cathedral neighbourhood at approximately 6:48 a.m. CST.

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital in ReginaSunday morning, after surviving an apparent machete attack.

Regina Police were called to the 2100block of Athol Street in the city's Cathedral neighbourhood at approximately 6:48 a.m. CST.

Police say a man was beaten on the street by multiple menwith various weapons like a machete and pipes.

The man sustained non-life-threateninginjuries to both his arms and to the back of his head.

Police say they have one potential suspect for an aggravated assault. They added that it's unclear if anyone else will face charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
