A driver who was nabbed speeding through a construction zone in Regina has been slapped with an $899 ticket.

Regina police recently took to Twitter to say that a driver was ticketed for speeding in a construction zone on Ring Road and Wascana Parkway.

Typically, signagearound construction zones indicates that speeders can face triple thefines for driving over the posted speed limit.

According to police, the driver was handed a $899 ticket, but their vehicle was not impounded.
