Shots fired, 2 Regina homes damaged on weekend

Regina police are investigating two apparent shootings on the weekend.

The first happened early Saturday morning.

Police were called at 3:30 a.m. CST to a home on the 400 block of Froom Cr. on the city's east side, where they found bullet holes in the front picture window.

There were people inside the house, but nobody was hurt, police said.

Witnesses said they saw two suspects driving away from the scene.

Then, at around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to Regency Crescent on the north side of the city after someone reported gunfire there.

Police found damage to a front door and it looked as though shooting was the cause.

Nobody was hurt there, either.

There's no word on whether or not the two shootings were connected in any way.

The two caseswere the latest in a year that has seen a relatively high number of gun-related incidents in Regina.
