Regina's Souls Harbour Rescue Mission held one of its biggest fundraisers of the yearMonday night.

The 13th annual Love Your Neighbour fundraising banquet is one of three main fundraisers for the organization. Souls Harbour is an inner city centre that helps people struggling with poverty or addictions.

Patty Humphreys, who works at Souls Harbour, said the event is "biblical in nature" but added "it really cuts across all lines in society."

"We really are stakeholders in the community," she said.

About 400 people were expected to attend the banquet. Souls Harbour is a 100 per cent donation based non-profit organization.

The event also doubled as a graduation ceremony. Humphreys said it was grad night for three women who went though their women's addiction program.

"It's a one year residency based program where ladies come in and work through recovery process from addictions," Humphreys said. "It's also a place where they're able to keep their children with them, or in some instances regain custody of their children."

Humphreys said the women's addiction program is all about keeping the family unit together, calling mothers the hub of a family.
