As Saskatchewan weather heats up, 13 wildfires burn in the province

The government says all but two wildfires are under control.

Thirteen wildfires are burning in Saskatchewan as of the last report, but the province says most are under control.

Seven are in the Buffalo Narrows area, one in the La Ronge area and five in the Prince Albert area. Two in the Prince Albert area are not yet contained.

So far this year there have been more wildfires than last year at this time.

Saskatchewan has had 102 wildfires in 2016. On May 4 last year there had been a total of 81 wildfires.
