Saskatchewan cabinet travel expenses to be published online

Future out-of-province travel claims by Saskatchewan cabinet ministers and their staff will all be made public online, Premier Brad Wall says.

Future out-of-province travel claims by Saskatchewan cabinet ministers and their staff will all be made public online, Premier Brad Wall says.

Wall's government has been answering questions about a trip by Social Services Minister June Draude and a senior government official last summer.

Their claims included a $3,600 bill for a car service for four days and a $200 lunch with a friend.

The case has dominated Question Period in the legislature for several days.

Wall says beginning this year, all travel claims by ministers and their staff will be made public twice a year.

According to Wall, the current government is spending less overall on cabinet ministers' travel than the previous NDP administration.
