Saskatchewan Rush lacrosse team downs Toronto Rock 13-8

The Saskatchewan Rush have clinched their spot in playoffs after defeating the Toronto Rock in Saskatoon on Saturday.

The Saskatchewan Rush lacrosse team has clinched a playoff spotafter downing the Toronto Rock 13-8 on Saturday in Saskatoon.

Mark Matthews had two goals and four assists andRobert Church had a goal and five helpers in theNational Lacrosse Leaguegame.

Dan Taylor, Ben McIntosh and Zack Greer each added a pair ofgoals for the Rush (9-3) while Curtis Knight, Jeff Cornwall, RyanDilks and Jeremy Thompson added the others.

Rob Hellyer led the Rock (3-9) with two goals and three assists.

Turner Evans, Stephan Lablanc and Josh Sanderson had two goalsapiece to round out the offence.

Saskatchewan's Aaron Bold made 31 saves for the win. BrandonMillers topped 40of53 shots for Toronto.
