Saskatchewan Rush tickets on sale for 2016 lacrosse season

Lacrosse fans in Saskatchewan are getting their first chance to buy season tickets today.

Lacrosse fans in Saskatchewan are getting their first chance to buy season tickets today.

The Saskatchewan Rush will begin their first season in Saskatoon in January 2016 after moving from Edmonton.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. CST.

The Rush are Saskatchewan's first professional lacrosse team and Saskatoon's only professional sports franchise.

The team moved to Saskatchewan from Edmonton after winning the 2015 National Lacrosse League title.

All of the Rush's games will be played at the SaskTel Centre. The team will play five Friday night games and four Saturday night games.

The price of season tickets ranges from $249-$549.

Saskatchewan will play their first home game on Jan. 15, 2016 against the Vancouver Stealth. They start the season on the road against the Calgary Roughnecks on Jan. 2, 2016.
