Saskatoon man, 43, charged with making and accessing child pornography

A 43-year-old man from Saskatoon has been charged in connection to a child sexual exploitation case.

A Saskatoon man has been charged in connection to a child sexual exploitation case.

A 43-year-old man from Saskatoonhas been charged in connection to a child sexual exploitation case.

The SaskatchewanICE unit received a complaint from a U.S. internet provider regarding a user that had saved child sexual abuse images to their account. The account was subsequently shut down.

The ICE unit was able to link the information passed along from the internet provider to some online child sexual exploitation activity, which pointed them to a man in Saskatoon.

The unit executed a search warrant on Aug. 18 on the man's home where they found child pornography on computers and devices. He is alleged to haveinappropriate sexual statements and actions with a female youth family member.

The man, whose name is being withheld to protect the victim, has been charged with:

  • Accessing child pornography.
  • Possession of child pornography.
  • Voyeurism.
  • Making child pornography.
  • Invitation to sexual touching.

Police say the victim is safe.

The man was scheduled to make his first court appearance on Friday at 10 a.m. in Saskatoon provincial court.
