People looking in the sky around Winnipeg Street on Monday and Tuesday may see a large flame but SaskEnergy says not to worry.

The Crown corporation is doing training exercises that will involve a controlled flare of natural gas on May 16and 17.

It's happening at the Regina Service Centre at 1601 Winnipeg Street between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. CST.

The flaring exercise trains technicians how to use mobile compressed natural gas trailers, which are used during emergency pipeline ruptures, according to SaskEnergy.

The flare comes out of a two-metre tall stack and can reach nearly a metre high.

There are nodisruptions to natural gas service expected in the area.
